1. Attendance of Exclusive Surveyors: Effective 1 July 2001, attendance of exclusive surveyor(s) is required to carry out the following surveys in accordance with IACS / ClassNK procedural requirements: On ships 20,000 tonnes DWT and above, subject to ESP, starting with special survey No.3, all special and intermediate hull surveys are to be carried out by at least two exclusive surveyors. On capesize bulk carriers of single side skin construction the intermediate hull survey between 10 and 15 years of age is to be performed by two exclusive surveyors (definition of a capesize bulk carrier is 100,000 dwt and over). On ships subject to the SOLAS, MARPOL and/or Load Line Conventions, all statutory surveys are to be carried out only by exclusive surveyors.

5. Designated Offices The Designated Office following the name of each non-exclusive office is the ClassNK Exclusive Office designated to supervise the services rendered by that office. Scope of Surveys by ACS / NES Scope of Surveys that ACS and NES may perform is limited to the one excluding Statutory Surveys and periodical Class Surveys. For further detail, please contact each service site. Travelling Expenses Travelling expenses including standard Hotel Fee and Daily Allowance in each country are to be calculated from the nearest office that dispatches the Surveyor. The detail of travelling expenses is advised by Exclusive Surveyors office if further clarification and information is necessary in advance. *Site Office is not included.
