recently the Health Care Foundation of Kansas City, with corporation from the Unied Government and the

Rosedale Development Association, funded the study and planning of the Green Corridor Project. A vision for a 3.9 mile stretch of Southwest Blvd, which identies opportunities for development to the corridors, health, land-use, identity, and transportation.

Kansas Citys bus system currently utilizes an arterial structure, emphasizing main roads that run through the city which then branch out to smaller routes. This would allow the southwest blvd bus passengers to easily transfer to any other bus in the city and tremendously expand healthy grocery destinations for Rosedalians. At present, there is only bus service on Rainbow Boulevard and 7th Street. For the low income citizens of Rosedale Ridge. This is beyond an uncomfortable walk during kansas citys dramatic climates, let alone also trying to juggle groceries.

Currently there is a serious lack of healthy food sources within the Rosedale community. The majority of people who are without a proprietary form of transportation nd themselves obtaining there families groceries from connivence stores in gas stations These types of institutions fulll instantaneous hunger but are by no means, able to stimulant a healthy diet for children.

AWARENESS PERSUASION

The only protable, and by protable I simply mean self-sustaining, public transportation system in the world is in densely populated city of Tokyo, all other forms of public transportation are funded through government grants. This means government check-signers need to develop an afnity for the Rosedalians pursuit of a green corridor bus line in order to obtain funding.

Typically when someone like Heidi is communicating to a check-signing government ofcial who has already become saturated with a number of requests it can be difcult to have your case oat to the top. This example may be a bit dramatic but I what Im trying to express is the value of emotion within a persuasive argument. This is why its important to capture the story of the individuals of the community
