    Symptom
    You have created an index on a BW table and you would like to transport this to another system.

    Environment
    SAP BW 3.x. SAP BW 7.x

    Reproducing the Issue


    1. Create a secondary Index on a BW object in RSA1 2. You will notice it is automatically added to the $TMP package, so cannot be transported.

    Cause
    This is by design. All tables of BW objects are NOT transported but created in accordance with the meta data definition (which is transported). This holds true for all /BIC/... tables as well as Indexes.

    Resolution
    You need to create the index directly on the system.
