We worked with our Learning Buddies and made THANK YOU cards for our VETERANS!
In Social Studies we are working on our Michigan Unit. We have been talking about the Geography (MR. HELP: Movement, Regions, Human/ Environment Interaction, Location, Place). We have ben studying the State Symbols. This week the students will be writing about their favorite symbol..look for them in the hallway. In Math we are working on Unit 3. This unit covers measuring (inch, cm, etc), perimeter and area. Please continue to work on addition and subtraction facts and estimation at home. In Language Arts we continue our Word Journeys (spelling). You can help your child by looking it over to making sure it is correct, then sign their book each night. We have been focusing on using different reading strategies when reading comprehension (asking ?s), synthesis (knowledge that grows). We read and learned about the Edmund Fitzgerald when learning about synthesis. Ask you child what they learned?
