    Subject: Removal of Media Clause

    Dear Mr. David Williams,

    Thank you for your letter regarding the provision in the CCAC template services agreement that deals with a service providers obligations with respect to public statements regarding their agreements with CCACs.

    The OACCAC is accountable for enabling the collaborative process for the development and improvement of the contract templates that CCACs use across the Province of Ontario for the purchase of clinical services. Decisions regarding the expectations of Service Providers are made in collaboration with the Service Provider Associations. The OACCAC is not aware of any plan to remove or revise the media clause.

    The intent of the clause you refer to in your letter, Section 3.6 of the General Conditions to the Agreement, is to protect the rights of our clients to privacy. Service providers and their staff will have personal health and other information in many forms.
