MARKET WRAP
Nifty and Sensex were closed green; gained 4.50%,4.50% resp. this week. New Home Sales was at 368k and US Unemployment Claims at 393K. US & Euro markets were green; Asian markets too were also green last week.

Indian markets ended with gain on Friday continuous gained last three days Sensex
raised 833.33pts sustained at 19-month highs gained in major sectors like IT, Metal, Pharma & FMCG closed green. Top gainers in the Market were Videocon Inds. (25.40%), PVR (22.37%), Eros Internatlnational Media (16.86%), Hanung Toys & Text (16.81%) The earnings season is well underway, & will vie for investors attention in the coming week as well. Technically Nifty may expected to drop from this point or a short term range bound movement this week; Nifty this week may range 6150-5720.

The market showed a highly bullish view this week as the govt. allowed FDI in multibrand retail. GDP has slowed from about 8.4% in FY 2010 and FY 2011 to 5.3% in the first half of 2012. The Indian economy extended its long slump in the quarter ending in September with lower-than-expected growth at 5.3% keeping it on track for its worst year in a decade. Retail inflation for industrial workers climbed to 9.6% in October on account higher prices of wheat and rice, from 9.39 per cent in the same month last year.

The S&P 500 has positive this weeks on Thursday as bullish although it ended the day
flat as politicians remain at odds about how to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff. The major indices gained for this week showing a bullish trend, with the Dow jones raised nearly by 1.44 percent but the Nasdaq Composite Index dipped 1.79 pts or 0.06 percent , to end at 3,010.24. Slightly more than 7 billion shares changed hands on the NYS Exchange, Nasdaq more than the daily avg. so far this year of about 6.48 billion shares.
