The school is collecting all Apple devices from students in grades 2-8 before the winter break to re-image and update the devices. All devices and chargers must be turned into homeroom teachers or the IT department by December 13th, 2012. The re-imaging is necessary to keep the 1:1 Apple program progressing properly and ensure all devices receive the proper updates over the break when students will not need them for schoolwork. Students should label their devices with their name and grade level or notify their teacher if they do not have a label.

RAINBOW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Dear Parents & Guardians
We are coming to the end of our rst semester of use of our Apple 1:1 program. The program has been moving along well and enhanced student engagement and learning. In order to keep this progressing in the right direction the IT department will be re-imaging the computers and iPads over winter break to update them. All students in grades 2 - 8 who have an Apple device will turn it into their homeroom teacher or a member of the IT department before they leave for break. We chose winter break as a collection time so as to not interrupt the students studies. The devices have been provided to the students for educational use at RIS. We do not give students assignments over the break so they will not need them for RIS educational use, therefore it is the perfect time for us to collect them. If you and your family are departing for winter break early, please instruct your student to leave you computer or iPad at school on their last day. It is important that we have all of the devices over break so we can make sure everyone gets the proper updates. Computers and iPads, plus their chargers, are due to your homeroom teacher or the IT department on: Thursday December 13th 2012 If you are departing before the 13th, the last day you will be at school. Please make sure your device and accessories are labeled properly with your name and grade level. If you do not have a label, please notify your homeroom teacher. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the IT Department. Sincerely, IT Department
