Public should lobby legislative councillors

Dec. 4, 2012, midnight The Advocate

Tarkine rally THE recent Burnie rally opposing all future mining in the so-called "Tarkine" hopefully is an indication that the normally silent majority has had enough of the Green scourge enveloping Tasmania.

Having decimated the forest industry with endless protests, dissuading overseas customers not to buy our forest products, filling the media with half truths, showing contempt for the suffering-bankruptcy of logging contractors-families and establishing new "environmental" groups they have proved themselves to be at least economic vandals and at worst ideological psychopaths.

I, like 85 per cent of fellow Tasmanians, have had enough. It is time to fight back.

Foremost, the public should lobby legislative councillors not to pass this coerced forest agreement.
