Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing with great interest in the entry level Marketing/Public Relations Coordinator with The McDonnell Group, Inc. I am confident that I have all the skills necessary to excel in this position, and I have goals to advance within the company and within the public relations field. During my time in college as a Public Relations major, I completed vital coursework that will help me to excel as a Marketing/Public Relations Coordinator. Some of my relevant courses include Foundations of Human Communication, Communication Ethics, Public Relations Principles, Media Graphics, Public Relations Writing, and Public Relations Seminar. While in my Public Relations Seminar class, I collaborated with teammates and worked with a real world client in order to implement an effective public relations campaign in which we conducted a survey, research, and organized a benefit concert for the client, which raised awareness for the clients cause throughout the university. In addition to creating a public relations campaign, I also have experience in graphic design, and am well-versed in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator). Throughout college, as a member of Delta Zeta sorority, I held many leadership positions which will also help me succeed within this position. As a member of the executive board, I served as the chapter secretary. This position required me to remain extremely organized, send documents to our national headquarters, and oversee the status of members. I also served as the academic chairman on the executive board, a position which required me to encourage members to achieve academic excellence, establish new academic programs, and raise the chapter GPA, which I succeeded in doing. If you wish to contact me in regards to this position, you may email me at austinsa@appstate.edu, or contact me my phone at (828) 234-9765. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Sarah A. Austin
