School readiness involves more than just children. School readiness, in the broadest sense, is about children, families, early environments, schools, and communities. Children are not innately ready or not ready for school. Their skills and development are strongly influenced by their families and through their interactions with other people and environments before coming to school. (Maxwell & Clifford 2004, 42)

5) Last but not least encourage and participate in play with your child. Believe it or not, play is compared to being a childs work. This is a childs way of exploring and understanding the world around them; and also promotes the child in practically all areas of development!
3) GUIDANCE- A child needs a structured lifestyle where the parent is capable of having set rules letting the child be aware of what behaviors are OK and not allowed. The child will learn what discipline is and as well responsibilities. This is essential because the child will learn a sense of self-control which is required to being appropriate in the school setting.
