It is with great regret that we inform you that your position at Tormey Tire Company has been made redundant. As a result your services will no longer be required following next Friday, October 12. We wish to make it clear that this downsizing does not reflect your performance in any way. Your contribution to the company has been invaluable. This downsize is a result of our consistent failure to meet tire quotas, as well as a recent increase in the cost of materials and supplies. For your benefit career development Seminars will be held from 9 am to 3 pm every Tuesday and thursday for the next three weeks, at the Providence Marriot Downtown Hotel, located at 1 Orms Street, Providence. These seminars will assist you with job counseling, refferences, and scholarship opportunities. The seminars will also help to answer any questions or further concerns you may have regarding the downsizing. We strongly encourage that you attend. We understand how hard this must be for you and your family, and we sincerely apologize for the redundancy. In return for your loyalty, and the countless hours you have spent working with us you will be receiving both a severance package, and your pension. This will be discussed at the seminars. Unfortunately, however, we will be discontinuing the health care benefits we have alotted you, beginning the last day of seminars. Again we apologize that your position has become redundant and we wish you much luck in the future.
