People are hungry because the world does not produce enough food. 3. Ten percent of people in the developing world do not have access to clean water. 4. Food security means a situation during which all people, at all times, have access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that satisfies their nutritional needs. 5. About 9 million people are hungry and malnourished in the world today. 6. Malnutrition is a condition resulting from not having enough food to eat. 7.
