Power Integrations Co advertised for the Power Supply/Electronics Applications Engineer position As you may read from my attached CV, I attained my M.Sc degree in engineering systems and management with emphasis on the integration of renewable energy resources to the electrical power grid from Masdar Institute of UAE in Collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US. I also hold a B.Sc degree electrical power systems engineering (top class honors) from Yarmouk university of Jordan. Over the past three years I have been involved with research and projects with regards: Inverter based distributed generation, Microgrid operation and protection, energy and load sharing management as well as islanding detection. Recently, I did an internship with UTC-Power where I helped in defining the requirements of different load sharing schemes and site supervisory control for microgrid operation. I have wide experience of using the power systems and power electronics simulation tools, such Simulink/Matlab PSCAD and the power systems simulator OPAL-RT. I also have decent experience in using COMSOL Multiphysics for thermal and electrical stress simulations. Furthermore, Im aware of the relative codes and standards that deal with integration of distributed generation to the power grid such as (IEEE 1547 and UL1741). Referring to what is mentioned previously and my attached C.V, I believe that my background and experience qualifies me for this position and I look forward to discussing how my potentials and skills would add great value to the current and planned projects at your company.
