    Certain prefixes like im-, anti-, dis- can be added to words to form adjectives with opposite meanings. Adding prefixes does not change the word class. Some suffixes like -al, -ly, -ion, -er, -ment, -ity can be added to words to derive nouns from verbs or adjectives from adjectives. The addition of suffixes does change the word class.
