Congress of the United States Washington, BE 20515 February 4, 2009 Dear Colleague, ‘The House is expected to vote soon on the Senate-passed Omnibus Public Land Management ‘Act (S.22). We are writing to ask for your support for this critical legislation. ‘The Omnibus Public Land Management Act is comprised of almost 160 broadly supported bipartisan provisions. Many of these provisions have been waiting for consideration for years and the opportunity to act has finally come. Many of the provisions have been developed with extensive collaboration at federal, state, county, and local levels, in conjunction with elected officials, businesses, community leaders, ‘outdoor enthusiasts, and other stakeholders. ‘The legislation has no PAYGO issues. ‘The bill will provide significant protections to existing public lands, and it will provide important ‘economic benefits for rural economies. ‘We urge you to vote YES on the Omnibus Public Land Management Act.
