Proposal: Oregon womens volleyball Final Four

Eddie Paskal Emerald sports reporter epaskal@dailyemerald.com 707-685-6501 Overview I have covered the Oregon volleyball team all season and can provide coverage thats unmatched by any other media outlet in Oregon. I will also provide a unique prospective of the tournament because I am a UO student and a peer of the studentathletes and the Emerald readers. The chance to cover a major NCAA tournament is a rare, and I would plan to establish a new model for how college journalists cover major sporting events. I will do that through multimedia reporting that includes: Pre-event features Short, quick website posts Live in-game reporting Social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram Videos Photo galleries

After the tournament, I will write a 400-word blog post for the Emeralds Garage blog about how I covered the tournament. The goal is to provide a model for other college journalists to follow. The post will go up by 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15.
