PROJECT OUTLINE (FIRST DRAFT)

NAME Fin gray PROJECT TITLE Unknown (not yet titled)

Firstly, what is the project concept? In short, its an educational animation, which is used to engage the students by involving them within a scenario exercise, and determined upon the students success from the exercise it will decide the animations ending. Its both a teaching aid for the teachers themselves, and a learning exercise for the students. Allowing a diverse approach towards learning, this will benefit the students themselves by actually getting them to participate in the process, instead of being a bystander. As well as this, the animations themselves will be, if expanded, unique towards the individual school. The individuality comes from the main characters within the animation, who will be wearing the schools uniform. The reason why I feel this is a necessary is to make the animation relate-able to the students, making the main characters students within their own school will make relating and connecting to the characters much easier. Overall, the reason why I believe in this project is predicated towards my own experiences within the education system. I remember feeling that many of the subjects which were being taught to me took a 'one-size-fits all' approach, which works for some, but not for all. I believe a product such as this would have caught my imagination and would have helped me to engage with the subject I was being taught in further depth. Thus allowing me to take in a wider amount of knowledge within the subjects I was being taught.
