Respected sir: It is to bring in your notice that three logic trainers ESS-2001 in DLD Lab, placed on bench No. 1, 7 and 9 are out of order. Their logic switches as well as bread boards are defective. Trainer is a basic instrument of all experiments. As you are familiar with the fact that the digital circuits are usually more complex to build so, students have to suffer a lot due to these trainers. That is why the mentioned three trainers should be replaced. Followings are the main problems due to defective trainers: In case of absence of Lab Engineer, the students, unknowing the defectiveness; start working on the faulty trainers. After connecting a very complex circuit they are disappointed by the improper output. Students, thinking it their connection fault, debug the large circuit. It is very difficult and time consuming. When Lab Engineer is present, he informs the instructor about faulty trainers and students are divided into two groups. Each group has to perform lab task in 1:30 hrs. To perform a task, which takes 3:00 hrs in 1:30 hrs is quite irritable. Aside from the trainers use in regular lab, they are also used as basic equipment for digital logic research and final year projects. The extra trainers should also be their in lab, so that the students, who are completing their thesis or research, be confident to work. Management has choice to decide, whether they repair the old faulty trainers or purchase new ones. It is requested that the suitable steps should be taken as soon as possible. I will be highly obliged to you for this kind favor.
