Foreword
In the Name of the Beloved, the Compassionate and the Merciful. From the beginning of time, humans have sought knowledge of healing. Its the view of the Sufi Pir (master), Mir Mahmoud Hadian, also the Master of Sufi Saint Healing, that we are in a crucial time for humanity and our survival as human beings really depends upon our individual will to balance ourselves. Today, you can read any newspaper and see the horror and tragedy taking place in our world. Despite high profile campaigns and peoples enormous charity, nothing has changed. Look at the starvation, War and many other issues which need urgent healing through our actions. We dont advocate that you protest on the streets. If you make yourself a better person, by reaching toward what humanity can potentially be, the impact of that ripples out around you, both to people and to the environment. We cannot change the world but we can change ourselves. As human beings, we have that responsibility upon us and we are also responsible for each other. Knowledge is surfacing that was previously known only to Saints and masters carefully guarded secrets that were passed on from generation to generation. To say that this knowledge is something new is not correct, it is just time for it to come out and be available to all who are seeking.
All that you have seen or heard or known, is not even the beginning of what you must know.
- Attar (Sufi poet) We have to emphasise that Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) is not our idea or creation, not even the name. We are only here as servants, trying to explain the healing in worldly terms to those who are seeking. If you are really seeking, then put aside your preconceived ideas and experience Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) for what it is. Only through experience can you gain knowledge. Ya Hu.

www.sufireik.org
Important points are highlighted throughout the manual in this manner. Please ensure that you pay particular attention to these notes.
What is Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing)? Hands-on healing is now widely accepted as a means to reduce physical and emotional stress within the body and its organs. Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) is a highly dynamic hands-on healing system that continues to evolve. It is applied to the whole human energy field and promotes healing on a fundamentally deeper level than conventional methods allow. Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) is about experience. It takes time and practice to become an effective channel for healing energy. How does it work? By requesting and accepting attunement, an individual can gradually establish a direct connection with the Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) system, through the Master. As the individual progresses through the levels, that connection becomes stronger and the healing manifestation becomes more profound. To better explain, a worldly analogy would be the distribution of energy from a power generating station. If Beloved is the power station, the Saints are neighbourhood sub-stations and all creatures including humans are consumers. Your home is connected to the sub-stations which in turn get energy from the power stations. If the energy of the power station came straight to your home, it would be damaging but through those sub-stations, it is changed and filtered to a level that you can benefit from it. What can I do with Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing)? Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) can cleanse, heal, expand and help you on physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual levels. Those receiving treatment often experience profound outcomes although the emphasis is upon selfawareness and not necessarily physical miracles. The healing energy will go to wherever it is most needed, not necessarily toward tackling physical ailments. Unconscious or subconscious psychological or emotional matters may take precedence and in some cases those could be the underlying cause of physical symptoms. Where does Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) come from? Sufi Healing has been discreetly practiced for over one thousand years. Traditionally it was kept secret and passed down through successive generations of teachers and masters. Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) was revealed trough a series of visions to the present Master and is an entirely new approach to ancient Sufi Healing.

Despite the demands of this work, the Pir remains financially independent of the Centre through his work as a naturopath.
The Pir was encouraged by his Master to pass on this system of healing as a Service to others.
A Sufi is a child of the moment. He does not dream about the future or try to rediscover or linger upon the past.

LEVEL 4 Pre-Professional Practice LEVEL 5 The Latif System LEVEL 6 Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) Practioner LEVEL 7 Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) Teacher In addition to the teachers, there is one Pir (Master) per generation. He is also the Pir (Master) of The Mir Sufi Path. The Pir is responsible for training Teachers as well as the integrity and spiritual direction of Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing). Progressing through the levels Levels are taught one at a time and all students begin with Level One. Each level consists of an attunement and a period of cleansing practices (with the exception of Level Three which is informational only). This course manual is for Level One. After the Level One attunement, you can start practicing Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) on yourself. After the cleansing, you will have gained the experience to decide whether you want to go further.

Visualise when you seek assistance or whenever you begin a treatment, Whenever you begin a cleansing or treatment, begin by calling upon the Beloved for assistance and protection. . Remember the universe contains both positive and negative energy, therefore protection is very important. Visualise the Pir, Mir Mahmoud Hadian, as he is the channel, which can provide a connection to the element of absolute energy, at a frequency that is suitable for you. This is also to assist you to have a focal concentration. The more you practice the visualisation, the easier it becomes and you will gradually develop an awareness of the energy assisting you. This technique can also greatly assist with meditation. You may wish to keep a picture of The Pir where you practice Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing), to assist with visualisation and to serve as a reminder. For your convenience, the back page contains photograph that can be cut out and mounted in a picture frame. During the treatment, try to visualise a brilliant light coming from The Pir into your crown (the top of your head) and out through your hands, into your body. The more you practice the visualisation, the easier it becomes and you will gradually develop an awareness of the energy assisting you.
Sometimes, people question why it is necessary to visualise the face of The Pir (Master). This ancient Sufi story highlights why visualisation is important. A seeker planned to make pilgrimage to a holy city far away (a focal point in his religion) and asked a great teacher for his prayer and protection for the arduous journey. The teacher told him that should he come under attack on the journey, he should call the teachers name and help would be at hand. Sure enough, the convoy the man was travelling in was attacked one night. In desperation, he cried out, God! God! God but nothing happened. He thought for a moment then cried out the teachers name. The man was saved. Though he was grateful, he was troubled; why did God not save him? After the long journey back home, he met again with the great teacher. He told him of the journey, the attack and how he had called out his name. He asked the teacher why God had not helped him. The teacher replied, You remember Him when you are only in trouble. I remember Him continuously and hence calling my name He assisted you.

Attunement

www.sufireiki.org
ATTUNEMENT
Requirements & Pre-Requisites The requirements for attunement exist only to facilitate your experience. Please do not proceed with the attunement unless you are prepared to meet with the requirements. Following attunement, your responsibilities would be as follows: 1) 2) 3) To prepare for the attunement and try to receive it in a relaxed state Write down your attunement experience and email this to the teacher that gives you the attunement (for the purpose of assisting you) Keep and share a journal with your teacher, following your attunement, recording noticeable changes in your mood, attitude, energy and environment during the cleansing process Inform your teacher of any symptoms, dreams or visions so that he/she can help you to understand and resolve issues that arise; this is very important
4)
If you do not share your journal, we cannot assist you. It is part of developing your experience that journals should be discussed. Even if you think nothing is happening, maintain weekly contact with your teacher. 5) Try to meditate on a daily basis beginning now; additionally, group meditation provides a unique opportunity to develop your focal concentration and is an excellent complement to Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) Do not perform Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) on other people until you have completed Level Two cleansing; the energy is for you and you must first complete the cleansing process
6)
We recommend you do not discuss your attunement or experiences with anybody other than your Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) registered teacher. By all means encourage others to find about Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) but respect others by allowing them to experience for themselves without any expectation. Your experiences are for you, nobody else.

ATTUNEMENT (Contd.)
Preparation for Attunement
It is very important to read this information prior to receiving the attunement. Preparation will help you to fully experience the attunement. The following steps are recommended to prepare for the attunement: 1) Perform physical cleansing and try to keep a clean state for attunement. Physical cleansing is explained in the section Cleansing Physical Cleansing later in the manual. 2) Offer a prayer with the intention of receiving attunement and humbly requesting progress. Then make yourself comfortable sitting on a cushion or on a chair and make sure you will be free of interruptions for the duration of your attunement. 3) Meditate for 10-15 minutes prior to receiving the attunement, longer if you can. If you have not done meditation before, follow the instructions in the Cleansing Meditation section later in the manual. Close your eyes (if you want to), concentrate on the Pir and focus on your breathing in and out (dont force it; just observe your natural breathing).
- 17 -
www.sufireiki.org
ATTUNEMENT (Contd.)
During the Attunement For the Level One attunement, three chakras are attuned to Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing); these are the heart, base and sacral chakras. The first two layers of your aura (those closest to your body) are also attuned and your kundalini energy will be raised During the attunement you may experience visual symbols, colours, physical or emotional sensations. Observe whatever comes up, acknowledge it but keep your concentration focused on receiving the attunement.
During the attunement, try to relax and observe what is coming to you. If you get distracted, focus on your breathing and visualise the Pir.
After the Attunement Immediately write down your experience, whatever you can remember. Relax, drink plenty of water and give yourself time to get grounded again. Let your teacher know of your attunement experience.

Cleansing

www.sufireiki.org
CLEANSING
Overview Regardless of the attunement experience, the attunement only facilitates the start of the cleansing. Therefore, its your application of the cleansing that determines how much Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) will assist you. Embarking on the cleansing Following attunement, perform the cleansing for a total of 21 days. Each day consists of the following activities: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) Full Physical Cleansing (Ghosl), Partial Physical Cleansing (Wazu), Meditation, Daily Breathing exercises, Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) self-treatment, Specific Treatment, Journal & Reflection, Prayer (as appropriate), Dietary considerations.
These do not have to be consecutive days but you should complete at least 21 total days of cleansing activities. The cleansing may take upward of 21 days and that is left to individual to manage. But the break between stopping and restarting cleansing should not exceed 14 days; otherwise the cleansing should be restarted from the beginning. You can begin cleansing on the day after attunement. We recommend you perform cleansing at a pace that is comfortable for you, dont think that you have to do it every day. Sometimes the cleansing can be emotionally or physically demanding. If it gets too intense, then come back to it later. The key point is to finish a total of 21 days self-cleansing. Likewise, dont rush the cleansing. In particular, take time to reflect on any issues that come up, those may be brought to your attention because they have not been dealt with. Seek advice from your teacher whenever you need it. Again, use the opportunity of the cleansing to move forward. During the cleansing, its important that you do not leave any longer than 14 days between the self-healing treatments. If you wait for longer, it will be necessary to start the cleansing again from the beginning (but note that the attunement does not need to be repeated). If you are already a practitioner in another healing modality (such as Reiki), we recommend that you do not combine Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) with your existing practices. On the days that you do cleansing, avoid practicing anything other than Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) or what has been described in the course manual.

CLEANSING (Contd.)
1) Full Physical Cleansing (Ghosl) Whenever you bathe or shower, it is recommended that you perform physical cleansing when you have finished washing. This is particularly important when you have had a period or any physical relationship. Focus upon the intention of purification and perform ghosl as follows: Dear Beloved, please help me to purify the right side of my body. After saying this, let clean water pour over the right side of your body from right shoulder to toe, three times. Dear Beloved, please help me to purify the left side of my body. After saying this, let clean water pour over the left side of your body from left shoulder to toe, three times. Dear Beloved, please help me to purify the whole of my body. After saying this, let clean water pour over the whole of your body from head to toe, three times.

1. Hands: Using both hands together in a circular washing movement, rinse the hands three times up to and including the wrists. 2. Hair parting: With one hand, draw water down the centre parting of your hair, from the front part of the top of your head to the forehead. 3. Face: Then rinse your face three times. 4. Arms: Use your left hand to wash water down the right forearm, from and including the right elbow to the hand. Do this three times. Repeat for the left arm. 5. Feet: Wash the right foot three times, from and including the ankle to the toes. Repeat for the left foot.

CLEANSING (Contd.)
3) Meditation
Daily meditation is an essential practice alongside Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing). Meditation is an essential tool by which you may improve your focal concentration and your effectiveness for healing. We recommend starting with just five minutes each day, consistency being more important than duration of the practice. Once you have established that for a few weeks, you may choose to gradually increase the time you allocate to meditation.
Why are you so afraid of silence? Silence is the root of everything. If you spiral into its void A hundred voices will thunder messages You long to hear.
Rumi (Sufi Saint) When meditating, sit on a cushion with your back straight and your legs crossed (as pictured below). Place your left hand in your lap with palm facing upward; please the right hand on top with palm is facing upward. Then, bring down your left thumb and right thumb, so that the right rests over the left (as pictured right). Meditate for at least a few minutes longer if you can.
Move from one position to the other if you feel uncomfortable. If you find these positions are too uncomfortable, then use a chair.
Group meditation is recommended as a complement to individual meditation. The Mir Sufi Centre has several ghanigas (gathering places) where you can attend weekly meditation.

CLEANSING (Contd.)
4) Daily Breathing Exercises
Each breath you inhale is your life force, and each breath you exhale refreshes your existence. These are the opposite attributes that keep you sustained and require gratification.
Mir Hadian The following breathing exercises are to be practised at least twice a day. For each exercise, breathe in Hay (meaning The Everlasting) under the breath and breathe out Hu (the intimate name of Beloved, or God) under the breath.
Counting breathing Breathe in continuously through the nose (Hay) while counting 1, 2, and 3 then exhale continuously through the nose (Hu) while you reverse count 4, 3, 2, 1. Cleansing breathing Breathe in continuously through the nose (Hay) while counting 1, 2, 3 then count down 4, 3 and exhale sharply through the mouth (Hu) half of your breath, then 2, 1 and exhale sharply the remaining breath.
Make sure that you breathe normally between repetitions and do not allow yourself to get light-headed. 5) Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) hands-on self-treatment Get comfortable, whether sitting on a cushion or laying on the floor (avoid laying on a bed). Before you begin the self-treatment, humbly request assistance from Beloved and the Pir for the healing. Visualise The Pir and Place your hands in each of the positions shown on the next page. Each time you place your hands on the body, visualise light coming into your crown (from The Pir out of your hands and the light spreading into that part of your body. Hold each position for a few minutes before moving to the next. When you finish, humbly thank the Beloved and The Pir for the use of the energy and humbly request that the healing continue and assist you.
IMPORTANT: Do not perform Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) on other people until you have completed Level Two.

6) Specific Treatment First Chakra Base: Visualise colour Red Zhikr (manter) 14 times: Hu (The Beloved) Second Chakra (Sacral): Visualise colour Orange Zhikr (mantra) 14 times: Momen (The Giver of Peace) Fourth Chakra (Heart): Visualise colour Green Zhikr (mantra) 14 times: Malik (The Lord) 7) Journal and Reflection For your benefit, it is required that you keep a journal and share that with your teacher on a regular basis, e.g., weekly. The journal can be concise but you should record your thoughts and observations during the cleansing process, particularly any emotional or physical fluctuations, even situations that arise. As well as sharing your journal, advise your teacher of any symptoms, dreams or visions however ordinary they may seem. Without that, your teacher is unable to help you to understand and resolve issues that arise; therefore you wont be making the most of the cleansing.
Failure to keep a diary and to discuss your experiences with your teacher will limit your progress. Make the most of the opportunity. Sufi Reiki (Sufi Saints Healing) students are encouraged to reflect upon their life from time-to-time. Give yourself time to do that. What do you consider is benefiting you holistically and what is not? What distractions have you got and how could you minimise those? Are you running your life or is life running you? We dont recommend making radical lifestyle changes but gradual changes can have a lasting effect and allow you to better concentrate on the practices.
8) Prayer Offer a prayer each day to humbly request that the Beloved and The Pir assist you with the cleansing and help you to make the most of it. 9) Dietary considerations A holistic approach will help you to make the most of the cleansing. On cleansing days, we recommend avoiding red meat & alcohol and reducing stimulants such as tea, coffee, tobacco and sugar. Were not suggesting you eliminate these stimulants completely since your body may be used to them but some reduction will help you to concentrate on the cleansing. Make sure you drink plenty of water.

Finally, we leave you with a poem from Rumi, who spoke about the Sufi Saints in one of his many poems:
We are healers, wise men from the East! We have cured many from sorrow and blindness, We uproot the cause of all pain. We bring the dead to life because We have learned our skills from Christ, Ask those who have witnessed our signs. We mix our medicine from plants of paradise And need no instruments For we run through the body like thought. We are the healers of spirit and Do not look for reward. But before we leave, Remember not to speak of us, guard your words For this world is full of unfriendly ears.
