Harmful Effects of High Exposure to Nuclear Radiation On Human Body

An Overview on Damaging Effects of Nuclear Radiation

What is nuclear radiation? How does nuclear radiation become damaging to human body? How is radiation measured? Which parts of human body get effected at the exposure of high doses of radiation? What are the effects when human body is exposed to high doses of radiation levels? What is the cure discovered by science for dealing with damaging effects?

What is nuclear radiation?

Nuclear radiation is a harmful combination of alpha, beta and gamma rays and when they interact with the atom they knock off an orbital electron Such rays can damage a cell or cause genetic mutations in any living being

How does nuclear radiation become damaging to human body?

Harmful radiation occurs when unstable nuclei of atoms decay and release particles. When these particles touch various organic material such as tissue, damage may, and probably will be done. Such rays can cause burns, cancers, and death.

How is radiation measured?

Units of radiation measurement is Rems It represents the amount of radiation required to produce damage to a living tissue 25 rems causes detectable blood changes 100 rems have no immediate dangerous effects Above 100 rems can cause initial signs of radiation sickness such as nausea, headache and loss of white blood cells

Which parts of human body get effected at the exposure of high doses of radiation?

Following are the devastating effects of Radiation

Loss of hair when exposed to 200 rems or higher

Non production and damage of brain cells at 5,000 rems or greater

Damage of Thyroid gland at 1100 rems or higher

Reduction in Bloods Lymphocyte cell count at around 100 rems exposure

Heart gets effected leading to heart failure at 1000 to 5000 rems

Gastrointestinal Tract Damage

At 200 rems gastrointestinal tract gets damaged causing digestive problems, nausea, infection or bleeding.
The Radiation begins to destroy the cells in the body.

What is the cure discovered by science for dealing with damaging effects?
Timely detection and treatment of diseases born out of the radiation can cure a patient. Nuclear radiation treatments can be natural and pharmaceutical. Natural treatments are available, however, pharmaceutical ones are at the development stage. However, medical science have not found treatment for fatal doses such as 450 rems or above.

Treatments
Natural Treatments: Beta Carotene- It is found in root vegetables such as carrots or sweet potatoes. This form is also available in fruits such as apricots, pumpkin, etc. Shark Liver Oil- It prevents radiation sickness and also fights tumors. Potassium Iodide- It can prevent radioactive iodine from being absorbed by thyroid and which can destroy thyroid. Dihydroquercetin and Sulfur- This is found in larch wood, grape leaves that protects liver and capillaries functions.

Timely Treatment against Radiation effects can save a precious human life
