Over the past three decades, CECOEDECON has been instrumental in developing and providing participatory approaches to development.

To mention a few of these, the organization established Sarthak Schools for dropout tribal girls in Shahabad where they are provided bridge courses and other useful skills. CECOEDECON has given a strong emphasis to institution building which has moved from facilitation and capacity building to providing platforms and exposures (like climate change conferences, trade conferences etc). The capacity of these organisations has reached a level where they are in a position to articulate their rights and influence policies on a spectrum of issues (agriculture policy, water policy etc). We have also worked on sensitizing the government officials regarding the use of a participatory approach to include the communities in the water security plan. Moreover, the organization is using a collaborative approach to lower malnutrition in the muslim communities in Tonk.
