Lewis Chili 1 pound of ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 2 cloves pressed garlic 1 16-oz can of diced tomatoes

1 16-oz can of dark red kidney beans, drained 1 15 oz can ranch style beans 1 8-oz can tomato sauce 2 teaspoons chili powder teaspoon dried basil, crushed teaspoon salt teaspoon pepper In a large saucepan cook ground beef, onion, and garlic till meat is brown. Drain fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans, ranch style beans, and tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling, remove from heat and put in crockpot. Simmer in crock pot for 4-6 hours on low heat. Makes 6 main dish servings. Serve garnished with shredded cheese, sour cream, and Frito dip chips.
