Ans) Barcode reader uses laser beams to read bar codes. Barcode are the vertical zebra
stripped marks. It is mostly found on different manufactured products in market.
Different types of Graphic card:
1) VGA
2) SVGA
3) XVGA

Q#1-b) What is plotter? Also define types of plotter?

Ans) A plotter is an output device that is used to produce image-quality, graphics in a
variety of colors. Plotter are used to make maps, architectural drawings, graphs and
charts.
Types of plotters
● Flatbed Plotter
● Drum plotter
1) Flatbed plotter
Flatbed plotter is used to plot or draw images. It contains pens for drawing images.
The paper is placed on the table-like surface. Software instructs the pens to move down
on the paper. Then pen moves on paper for creating images.
2) Drum plotter
Drum plotter uses a rotating drum or cylinder. The drawing pen are mounted on the
drum. The pens moves to the left and right as drum rotates. This movement creates the
desired images.

Q#2) Define SDLC? Also list its phases?

Ans) SDLC stands for system development life cycle. It is set of different steps that are
performed to develop a system. Its Different phases are as follows:
1) Preliminary Investigation
2) System Analysis
3) System Design
4) System Coding
5) System Testing
6) System Implementation
7) System Maintenance.
