Theory
Norton's Theorem states that it is possible to simplify any linear circuit, no matter how complex, to an equivalent circuit with just a single current source and parallel resistance connected parallel to a load.
Procedure:
Draw the circuit diagram as shown in figure 11.1
Figure 11.1 Consider R4 as load resistor. Now turn on the circuit and measure short terminal current IN for R4. (Remove R4) Remove voltage sources with short circuit and short circuit terminal with open circuit and measure RN. (Remove R4) Calculate the current and voltage for R4 and compare these values with measured values. Fill the observation table 1 according to calculate & measured values. Draw the Nortons equivalent circuit
