Loneliness is not at all abysmal.

For a Christian to have the feeling of loneliness is normal because it is one way of reminding us that God alone is faithful. We may have the thought of being secured with the one we love, our family, and friends, but being human like us, they will always be imperfect or, not to say it loud, unfaithful. The Lord has reminded us that he will never leave us nor forsake us so many times or more. Therefore, praise God in your loneliness and trust him at all times.
