Caution Ethernet communication In Ethernet-based communication, such as PROFINET IO, HTTP, Sm@rtAccess, Sm@rtService and OPC, it is the end user who is responsible for the security of his data network. The proper functioning of the device cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances; targeted attacks, for example, can lead to an overloading of the device.

Note Verify that local and remote port settings are identical.

When connecting via Ethernet, you require the port addresses to, for example, configure a firewall, or a router.
