Meeting Minutes

February 7, 2005

Board members present: Tommy Taylor, Dave Steiner, Nicole McCoy, Rose Klein and Kris
Meek.

Dave Steiner said that it will cost $30 per year to continue the web site. The board members
present agreed that it was money well spent and that we should continue the web site.

We have a check for $125 to pay Boy Scout Bear Den 8 for December delivery of the
newsletter. Kris Meek will deliver the check to Den Leader Donna Rice.

Tommy Taylor was reimbursed $21 from the Journal/Star for putting the fall garage sale ad in
the wrong section the first day.

Kris Meek will call Holly from Parks & Rec. to see about scheduling the Highlands Pool for
July 23 or 30th or as a last resort June 25. Then we could plan to have our Highlands Block
Party at the Pool.

The Holiday Egg Hunt is scheduled for March 26 at 1 p.m. at the Highlands Park. Tommy
Taylor and maybe Jeff Eckley will take the plastic eggs and candy to the Lancaster Manor
social activity director so the Lancaster Manor can fill the eggs for us. Nicole McCoy will
purchase the candy for the eggs. We need signs for the age groups, fence posts and plastic
“police” tape to rope off areas. Jason Fortik has been coordinating the last couple of egg
hunts and has been storing the plastic eggs between hunts. He is moving from the area soon
and we need someone who is willing to store the eggs.

Tommy Taylor said we need someone to volunteer to be the registered agent for the 501C
(non-profit charitable or educational status) for the Highlands Neighborhood Association
Corporation. Dave Steiner signed the paperwork as the registered agent.

The next meeting will be Monday, March 21st (the third Monday) at 7:30 p.m. at Fredstrom
School.
