Tech(MAE) VIII-Sem Project Presentation-II

This is to inform all the students of B.Tech (MAE) VIII-Sem (2009-2013) that the second presentation of the Final year projects has been scheduled as below: (Venue to be announced on the day of presentation) (The faculty guide should be present at the time of the presentation) 1. 8MAE-1 2. 8MAE-2 3. 8MAE-3 Date: 09/01/2013 Date: 10/01/2013 Date: 11/01/2013 Time: 1:35 to 5:15 p.m. Time: 1:35 to 5:15 p.m. Time: 1:35 to 5:15 p.m.

The students groups have to present a PPT which should cover the following areas of progress: Groups Finalised Topic Finalised Conceptualization Need / Objective done PERT Chart progress to be shown Literature survey (Books, published papers, articles, etc on the chosen topic/area) completed. Pre design calculations to be shown. Preliminary Design: The group has to show with minimum 2 options to create the desired project (Feasible Design options). Detailed design: Out of these multiple options, the group will be presenting the most optimal design in consultation with faculty guide/subject expert, with CAD Model/solid modeling). The detailed design portion should include: Operating parameters, Operating and non-operating, environmental stimuli, Test requirements, External dimensions, Maintenance and testability provisions, Materials choice, Reliability/Safety requirements, External surface treatments, Design life, External body marking/colour, etc Tentative cost/facilities/technology/raw materials/parts required for the manufacturing of the project Feasible methods of manufacturing.

Analysis methods / readings / graphs/ final computations techniques, etc which will be implemented for results after manufacturing of the model has to be shown in the presentation.
