Re Planning Application, Ref 12651 Development at North Harbour Cape Clear Island

Dear Sir/Madam, With reference to the Drawing, Proposed Works, Overall Site Layout, we wish to make some observations. We note that the area in front of the Bird Observatory is to be grassed and landscaped. To maximise the benefit of, and safe use of this area to tourist visitors to the Obsevatory, we request that the old, narrow harbour road, immediately in front of the Observatory and separating the observatory from the proposed landscaped area, be paved and pedestrianised, as a cul de sac, particularly as alternative vechicle access is provided for in the plan. We would request that the landscaped area is raised, relative to the car park area and finished with an appropriate stone wall with stepped access points to facilitate pedestrians. The maintanance of the landscaped area and its design is of great interest to us as we are visually and aurally, directly affected by the development. We would request to be consulted on the design and planting of the area. Yours faithfully,
