Stage Three Parent Information 2013

Welcome parents to Stage Three for 2013.

This is a brief note to give you some information on what equipment your child needs next year. A note containing further information relating to curriculum matters for Stage Three will be sent home early in the new school year. Requirements for Semester 1 2013 Some of these resources will be shared by the class: * 1 pump bottle of soap/soft wash * 6 glue sticks * 1 roll of paper towel & 1 box of tissues * 2 each fine black, blue and red Artline markers for artwork (all very thin) * 1 A4 size homework book, 96 pages - covered, contacted and clearly labelled with name and class. * 1 A4 plastic wallet for storing unfinished work in * Plastic display folder * Four - six different coloured highlighters * A4 clipboard labelled with name and class * Library bag-labelled with name and class * 30 cm Ruler (no bendy rulers please) * Eraser (no electric or novelty erasers please) * 5 lead pencils and pack of coloured pencils * Scissors * 10 HB lead pencils * At least 2 blue, 2 black and 2 red pens * Coloured pencils (maximum 24) * Textas (maximum 24) * Sharpener with container * A 2013 student diary (can often be bought from supermarket) * A small pencil case. ALSO (optional wind up crayons and gel pens but no more than 12 please) Please be aware that each childs personal school equipment will need replenishing from time to time especially items such as glue and lead pencils as they are used so frequently. When a child does not have their own pencils, ruler, glue and scissors a substantial amount of learning time each day can be spent waiting to share other peoples equipment. Please provide these items to your class teacher as soon as possible. Note: Two textbooks will be purchased next year for all Stage: A handwriting text and a maths mentals text.
