I Say Goodbye To You

Eric Najarro We tend to wear black and enjoy dark music and art. Our cliques form from societies that are coming apart. We are rejected from society; exiled with cold hearts. To us the world over is darkness and the ending kick starts. The black we adore and wear is how we address, Of the pain and sadness we bare in our chest. And in this sad world we have nothing to gain but stress, No matter in what we do all our meekly efforts regress. We group together wondering of what to do. Our sadness, our pain we just want to subdue. By cutting our arms our despair flows through, But an act of insanity and madness is what society views. They view us as demons, not followers of the Lord. They called us EMOS and feared us without being explored. With their Amens and halleluiahs they expect us to follow, The lies and illusions that the society has come to swallow, And to them our rights and customs are terrifyingly too hollow, So they smite us and cleanse us until Christianity is restored. This sad and forsaken world we cant seem to bare. We decide to finish it, to cut our own air. From start to finish I wondered why the despair, Of society and its deception to live falsely there, From the harshness and the bleakness theyre unaware. Our bodies turn cold and our lips turn blue, Our spirits float from our corpses and go to, The beyond the cold abyss with nothing to rue, In search of peace and happiness we hope to cling to, The time is now coming, what are you to do? The end is close and our time is now due, An Emo, a group, from society we broke through, With questions and thoughts we left with our view. Finally light dims and we see the light; heavens crew, And with that finally I say Goodbye to you.
