The Line Command: Select Line from Toolbar or enter Line Command, specify 1st and 2nd point of the line. Selecting Objects: Left click on any point in drawing and drag the mouse towards left or right. This shows two types of boxes, solid and dashed box. By dragging mouse towards left, a solid box appears. It can select only those objects which lie totally inside the boxs perimeter. By dragging the mouse towards right, a dashed box appears. It can select all those objects whos any portion lies inside the boxs perimeter. Line Projections: In isometric drawings, we use line projections in angles of 90, 30, 60, 45 degree and derivatives of these angles. Following command is entered in command window of AutoCAD: @(length of line)<(required angle) e.g: To draw a line of length 4 units at an angle of 30 degree, the following command is entered @4<30 The TRIM command: This command is used to cut extra edges of lines and to draw lines of unspecified length. Enter TRIM in command window, Select the cutting edges across which you want to trim the line and finally select the portion of line/object you want to trim. Drawing Iso-Circles: IsoThere are 3 types of Iso-circles: top plane, right plane and left plane. First we need to change the SNAP style to ISOMETRIC. Enter SNAP command, Press S for STYLE, then I for ISOMETRIC, specify vertical spacing (default value is 0.0005). Then enter the ELLIPSE command, enter I for ISO-CIRCLE, specify center and radius. The FILLET command: This command is used to give circular edges to drawings. Enter FILLET in command window, enter R for radius, select the two edges of the drawing to which you want to give circular corner.
