MHC (Magnetic Hull Crawler) is a robotic system for inspection
and maintenance operations on steel surface.
The MHC carrier vehicle is adaptable to different felds of
applications like visual or NDT inspection, surface preparation
(High Pressure water jetting).
MHC
GENERAL
MHC PRINCIPLE
CHARACTERISTICS
The MHC, equipped with permanent magnets, is able to crawl
on vertical, inclined or underneath steel surfaces. A specifc
payload can be mounted on the front or back side of the carrier.
PAYLOAD
Cleaning and measurement of Cathodic Protection and
Hull Thickness.
Video Inspection and mapping
System deployed from FPSO : ATEX equipment
Operable in air (shipyard) and underwater
Video inspection for real time display (2 color cameras).
NDT inspection package : Ultrasonic probes mounted on
specifc support for continuous measurement, coupled with
positioning system. A software suite allows real-time 3D
mapping of the steel thickness.
Surface preparation tool like High Pressure jetting.
