    Montessori Playgroup Program Our Playgroup program is for children 20 mths to 2 1/2 year old. It is a gentle introduction to pre-school education. This program focuses on age-appropriate activities based on the Montessori Method of Education to reveal your child. The main aims of this program are: developing your child's motor skills using the Montessori materials; introducing soft skills like: sharing; following instructions; building concentration in preparation for learning; amongst others, while playing with the materials. As toddlers are learning to talk in this phase of their development, themes are used to introduce your child to proper vocabulary both in English and Chinese. Incorporated into the thematic activities are presentation of concrete materials to stimulate the senses, music and movement and art & craft. This is a drop-off program. Caregivers can accompany up to 3 times at the start of the program. When the child is ready, we start introducing the sounds of the alphabet and preMaths skills using the Montessori materials. This is done at the pace of the child. Our teacher-child ratio is 1:5 as we believe this is a very special age requiring special attention. Program offerings are very flexible. You have a choice of one hour or one and half hour sessions. You can also choose to send your child twice weekly, thrice weekly or daily Mondays to Fridays. Fees will depend on your choice of program. No meals will be provided.
