2008 – 09 SAC Senate - Meeting 8 01/28/09

I. Call to Order

• President Alexander Saxton called the regular Senate meeting in the Heritage
Room on January 28, 2008 @ 11:50.

II. Roll call

III. Approval of Last Meeting's Minutes

The minutes from the previous Senate Meeting have been approved.

IV. Opening Issues

1. Important meeting on Feb 2 (President Alexander Saxton)
◦ There will be an important impeachment meeting on Feb 2.
2. Ms Abrams' Address (Ms Abrams)
• Ms Abrams was not present once again.

V. Statements by Executives
1. Treasurer Sam Zivot
▪ If you have any used couches, desks, etc. the SAC is interested in getting
them for our office. Email us at sacnss@gmail.com.
2. ESD Ellie Graham
• There will be no Semi. There may be a Jersey Boys show instead.
3. Secretary Carol Xiong
• The PTA Senator survey was reviewed – but shall be shelved to next
meeting as there was limited attendance.
• TDSB questions were read out loud
• TDSB Supercouncil Leadership Camp is open to applications – shelved for
next meeting

• Come to our Knight Out.

VII. Statements by Committees

• There were no such items.

VIII. Other Business

• SPASM applied for association status. Because of an incorrect signature, the
case will have to be reviewed next meeting when this issue has been absolved.
• Northern Ambassadors application for Club status
◦ Conflicts with TDSB Supercouncil and the Student Activists (Constitution,
Sec 19)
◦ Will have to be shelved for a future meeting during which respective
presidents will have to attend.
