Guidelines to prevent email Misdirection: (Idea incitement, -- Pramesh Adhikari) 1) Email without Attachment: While initiating email from

MS side to any CP I would recommend putting the name of the CP whoever you are sending to (say-Barclays, CITI) in the subject line as I observed most of the emails are sent without mentioning CPs name in the subject line. Once we follow this I again recommend team to double check the email address by clicking on the same and validate with its domain name with respective CPs name/short name (mentioned in the subject line) before sending to any CP.

2) Email with Attachment While sending mail with attachment it is always better to try to put all the information in one exl sheet or even if it is two or three then would suggest naming each sheet with nature of info. Pertaining to that CP (e.g. CITI-alleged/unconfirmed/unmatched/netting..etc) After that double check the info in the attached file/ opening the attached file in the email and validating the same with domain email or respective CPs name/short name mentioned in the subject line etc will definitely help us to avoid misdirection.

Note: At the end point, double audit/four eye check should be mandatorily applied for every outgoing email without exception. Let us know if this practice would be beneficial to all as its been following since long ago in netting but I didnt observe in MT-300 and CLS.
