Abstract This report is prepared with regard to the HNDE 3rd year design project.

The task is to design a three (3) storied building consist of four (4) classrooms and a canteen with the use of the knowledge obtained from the 2nd and 3rd year Structural Design lessons. This project is carried out under the guidelines given by the lecturer and students knowledge of the civil engineering concepts is being utilized during the preperation of this project. All the design principles are carried out in accordance to the BS8110 part 1.
