Recent Developments at SkyTeam
By Michael Chock
Created in June 2000, SkyTeam functions as a network of airlines from across the world. Nearly 20 companies belong to the group, which provides users with an improved travel experience. The 537 million annual fliers who make their trips with a SkyTeam-affiliated carrier can voyage to 993 destinations in 186 nations. In October 2012, SkyTeam expanded its operations with the inclusion of Aerolineas Argentinas. Aerolineas Argentinas recently improved its technology and infrastructure in order to play a bigger role in global travel. Bolstered by Sabre Airline Solution's line of state-of-the-art products and services, this airline recognized how joining SkyTeam increases customer satisfaction and grows its business. Through SkyTeam, Aerolineas Argentinas passengers can receive priority boarding and baggage handling while garnering more travel awards.
