WHAT: The Memphis STEM Leadership Academy is a one-day, high-energy STEM Leadership Academy for educators in the West TN STEM Collaboratory Hub region. The program will include innovative practices, communication technologies, and pedagogical approaches to expand active STEM learning environments. The Academy will facilitate the dissemination of best practices from STEM platform schools, the West TN STEM Collaboratory Hub , and the TN STEM Innovation Network (TSIN). This program is sponsored by Tennessee EPSCoR in cooperation with the West TN STEM Collaboratory Hub and TN STEM Leadership Academy at ORAU. WHO: Educators in the West TN STEM Collaboratory Hub region WHEN: Monday, February 18, 2013 8:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Lunch and breaks will be provided WHERE: The University of Memphis University Center Memphis, TN 38152 Parking Directions: Teachers/Visitors may park in the Parking Garage on Zach Curlin Street The garage is adjacent to the University Center and also connects with a Sky Walk Visitors should take a parking ticket as they enter, and they will be given an exit ticket at the meeting to use as they leave Campus Map: http://map.memphis.edu/ WHAT EducATORS TAkE HOME: In-service credit STEM hands-on tools, with lessons plans for different grade bands Hands-on experience with different STEM tools
