CWA-AT&T Mobility Bargaining Report No. 3
CWA-AT&T Mobility Bargaining Update for Friday, January 23, 2013 Over the past few days, the company and the Union continue to meet. The following Articles were passed by the Union: Article 14-Force Adjustment; Article 20-Travel; Article 23-Holidays; Article 24-Excused Work Days with Pay; and Article 26-Waiver of Further Bargaining, just to name a few. Although the company had nothing new to propose today, they did come prepared to tell us what their priorities were. Needless to say, they are not the same as the Union's. Once again, the company made it clear that they need changes to be made to address their absence issue. It's important that you stay focused on what is important and not get caught up in the workplace nonsense. You play a big part in what happens during this round of bargaining. Plan to take part in the first Town Hall Call scheduled for Sunday, January 27, 2013 beginning at 8pm. Text "orange" to 69866 to sign up for the call. A strike vote will also be conducted shortly. This will be your way of authorizing a strike to be called if deemed necessary by your bargaining committee and approved by the President of CWA. This does not mean we will go on strike, but it sends a strong message to the Company that you are prepared to do whatever it takes to get a fair contract. This is your contract. Get involved!! Bargaining resumes tomorrow, Saturday, January 26, 2013. STAY INFORMED. BE PREPARED. EXPECT THE BEST.
