This week we will focus on getting data extracted from the source system into your data model. As before, you will leverage SAP content to speed up the process of development. Since, you have created and used custom Info Objects within your data model we cannot exclusively use Standard Content however. We are going to leverage data sources: 2LIS_11_VAHDR (Sales Header) and 2LIS_11_VAITM (Sales Item). Start with Data Source setup in the source system (ECC) and replication into the BI system. NOTE: this only needs to be done once per system Connect the 2LIS_11_VAHDR with the 0SD_O03 DSO with BW3.5 update rules / transfer rules and Info Source technique. Connect the 2LIS_11_VAITM with the 0SD_O01 DSO with the new BI 7.0 DTP process. We covered both of these techniques in class.

Since your custom fields will not be in the data source leverage your transfer rules to populate the data. For example: if you created a custom Info Object for document number ZIODOCRE replacing 0DOCNUM. You will have to make a manual reference in your transfer rule to map ZIODOCRE with VBELN the technical name for 0DOCNUM. After the mapping has been completed, create another link between the Orders Info Cube and the Orders DSO. Once all the links (represented as arrows below) are in the place create info packages for each of the DSOs to start the extraction process. If all the steps have been done correctly, data should now be loaded from the source system into all your Info Providers.
