LEAD AND ARTIFICIAL TURF SPORTS FIELDS

All athletes who play on ar tificial turf should know that some older varieties of ar tificial turf were made with lead, a chemical that is well-known for its potential to cause cancer and hear t problems. To prevent exposure: Wash your hands after playing on turf. Dont eat or drink on the turf. Wash your clothes after playing on turf. Ask your school to maintain the field regularly. Visit www.ceh.org/turf to view our turf safety video and use our Turf Map to see if your local field is safe! Stuff it put sample in a zip-lock bag, and then into an envelope.
