The Rocky Horror Show

1.

In the first sequence we are shown the 20th century fox title with a black background with gold writing. This makes the writing stand out in bold to the audience. The music is the same theme tune but with a piano high pitched twist to create a non horror theme and give the audience a false impression. 2.

The lip shots shows the simplistic nature of the opening sequence which keeps the audience in the dark as to the plot of the film. At the same time the contrast between the black and the red holds connotations of anger, violence, horror and gore relating to the genre of the film. The music is eerie and spooky but not your stereotypical music you would put with a horror movie which adds interest and intrigues the audience to watch the movie.

7.

The seventh sequence shows the title of the movie in red bloody writing which contrasts with the black background to create the horror movie effect on the audience. The music is again the same throughout the title sequence. 8.

The effect of the white teeth with black background and the red writing on top creates a horror atmosphere as the colours are all what a stereotypical horror film would have. The writing has again got the blood dripping effect and the music is the same to help create the atmosphere.

9.

The last sequence shows a mouth with white teeth and red lipstick, the colours again used are all typical horror movie colours. The mouth has a grin which gives the impression of evil in the movie. The black background helps to create the mouth to stand out in front of the audience. The music is again the same throughout the title sequence.
