BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ESTABLISHING AN AMO IN TURKEY

FACILITIES 1. Facility need to be protected from environmental effects, dust and weather conditions. 2. For base maintenance activities, a hangar is needed with enough size to perform all task in the hangar. 3. Shops with enough size to perform component maintenances. 4. Sufficient lighting in working areas. 5. Sufficient size of warehouse to store servicable and unservicable parts, tools and material separately. ORGANIZATION 1. Accountable Manager, Quality Manager, Maintenance Manager (Base and/or Line), Ptoduction Planning Manager (if necessary), Workshop Manager (if necessary). PERSONNEL 1. AMO shall Show the authority the man-hour plan that the amount of personnel is sufficient for the activity planned. 2. Sufficient number of B1 (mechanic) and B2 (avionic) certified personnel shall be employed. If maintenance is planned for large aircraft (MTOW greater than 5700kg), sufficient number of C licensed personnel shall be employed. 3. All certifying staff shall have been worked at least 6 months during last 2 years. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT 1. All required tools shall be available. If the AMO is planning to use alternative tools, the procedure for using alternatives shall be approved by the authority. For not common tools, the AMO shall show a plan to the authority concerning obtaining these tools. MAINTENANCE DATA 1. AMO shall have Access to all up-to-date manuals to perform all kind of maintenance activities. 2. AMO shall establish its work card system.
