Spirituality Vs Religion
Of course, sometimes people use these terms synonymously, but there is definitely a difference in scope of coverage. Spirituality deals with what to worship and Religion deals with how to worship Therefore, in todays context, Religion means proceduralism or performance of certain set of acts, rituals and ceremonies for worship. Whereas spirituality deals with that Absolute Truth which is eternal, all-pervading, beyond birth and death.

What is Absolute Truth? First of all, It has got nothing to do with speaking truth or lie. This Truth means Always true which is not subject to change, which is Avinashi, or Sanatan. When Lord Jesus says that Truth is God, he does not mean speaking truth is God. In fact the word Truth in spiritual parlance means which is always there, and is not subject to change.

Being spiritual and being religious is not one and the same thing: A spiritually enlightened person ALSO becomes religious in due course, BUT a purely religious person can never upgrade to spiritual enlightenment on his own. It is like a doctor being aware of value of health, can also play tennis, but by merely playing tennis, one cannot become a doctor.
