JFN is inviting manuscripts for a special issue addressing New Directions for the Family Management Style Framework. To date, most research using the framework has focused on family management of a childs chronic condition. For this special issue, guest editors Dr. Janet Deatrick and Dr. Kathleen Knafl are seeking research reports and theoretical manuscripts that extend the framework to different conditions (e.g., developmental delays, dementia), phases of condition management (e.g., end-of-life, acute care), or cultural contexts. For consideration for inclusion in this special issue, manuscripts must be submitted by March 1, 2011 through the usual JFN electronic submission process. Indicate in the cover letter to the Editor that manuscript is being submitted for the special issue. All manuscripts will be peer reviewed. Individuals who are interested in submitting a manuscript are encouraged to contact either Dr. Deatrick (deatrick@nursing.upenn.edu) or Dr. Knafl (kknafl@email.unc.edu) to discuss further.
