THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE

As end time spiritual warriors, God planned for us to be fully equipped for
battles, and provided every weapon of warfare that we will need in order to
be victorious. These are the same powerful weapons that Jesus used to
defeat the enemy when He walked the earth.

RIGHTEOUSNESS - DIKAIOS

Dikaios means "righteous, innocent, just, upright". The New Testament

affirms the righteous and sinless character of God. Jesus addresses God
as "righteous Father" and He Himself is called "the Righteous One". The
book of Revelation affirms that God is "just" in all His ways and judgments;
He is "the righteous Judge".

Dikaios sometimes describes those who set as their goal to live a holy,
God-fearing, "righteous" life. Holy and upright living, in accordance with
God's standards. The word righteousness comes from a root word that
means "straightness". It refers to a state that conforms to authoritative
standard. Righteousness is a moral concept. God's character is the
definition and source of all righteousness. Therefore, man's righteousness
is defined in terms of God's.

PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND

PRACTICE LIVING RIGHTEOUSLY!

When you received Christ by faith, Christ's righteousness, the breastplate

of righteousness, war given to you. Before you can be holy and blameless
before God, you must act in faith. The power of sin has been broken in your
life. Clothed in Christ's righteousness you have power over all sin. You
must now yield the members of your body - your mind, your will, your
thoughts - as slaves to righteousness.

It is within your power! God made it possible. Jesus shed His blood that
you could live holy blameless before God He placed His Spirit within you to
enable you to live free from sin.

As you are clothed in the breastplate of righteousness, you become

invulnerable to Satan's attacks. Knowing that you are clothed in Christ's
righteousness, you are able to withstand every temptation. Knowing that
you have been set free from the power of sin, and that Christ is in you and
you are in Him, you are able to say no to every temptation Satan throws at
you.
