The people call Antarctica a cold desert

The Antarctic is a polar region, specifically the region around the Earth's South Pole, opposite North Pole the Arctic region around the North Pole.

Approximately 90% of its territory is a snowy desert, that is, a cold area almost devoid of life
Because. This thick layer of ice, is the highest of all continents.

Temperatures:can go below -80 degrees celsius. Precipitations:there is not much precipitation and always falls as snow.

Is a massive mountain that dominates the upland of the southern part of the Antarctic peninsula. With an elevation of 3.184 metres.

The Transantarctic Mountains are one of the world's longest chains of mountains, they form the boundary between east and West Antarctica. They rise to over 4.500 metres above sea level.

Mount Erebus is a volcano of the Antarctica that is always active. This volcano is located on Ross Island.
