The outstanding of this convention amongst others is the guest teacher, Raya Uma Datta, who has attended to the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune since 10 years of age age. At the age of 20, he began teaching classes to children at RIMYI. In 1998 he gave an asana demonstration for the celebration of Gurujis eightieth birthday. From that moment Guruji decided that Raya would study directly with him, this gives us an idea of the kind of teaching we will receive which comes directly from the original root. Since 2002 he is one of the teachers of General Classes in the main hall at RIMYI. Raya Uma Datta accompanied Guruji in the previous convention in Russia in 2009 and China in 2011. He was part of Geetajis entourage for the convention in Australia in 2009 and South Africa in 2011. Also he has given seminars in Israel and a convention in Canada. He studied philosophy (BA - MA in Philosophy). Passionate about photography, he created the photo calendar for Gurujis 93rd birthday. We believe that Raya Uma Dattas visit to Len will bring us a new focus in our personal practice thanks to the special circumstances of his life, being so close to our Guruji, and being such a crucial root of Gurujis teaching nowadays.

center. You could go walking which will take you around half and an hour. Tryp Len Hotel**** will hold the convention, 3-5 Obispo Vilaplana road, Len, PC 24008. Here will take place the open ceremony, lunch, evening meals and social events.

A list of hotels is available if you wish to get your own accommodation. We group of Len wish to offer to everyone the opportunity to attend the convention, mainly to those with financial limitations. Therefore, accommodation in practitioners home is available; some of them have very kindly offered their space. INSCRIPCION
Being a member It is a requirement to be a member of the association for you to attend the convention. Request the inscription form at your yoga center and send it to the head office in Madrid, or you can download from the official web site (www.aeyi.org/docs/FORMULARIO_SOCIO.pdf). The annual membership fee is 30. How to register Inscription can be done through the main web site (http://www.aeyi.org/es/formulario-inscripcion) or by filling a form at your yoga center and sending to the head office. (tel. +34 91 531 90 95) Therapeutic cases Those who required a special practice and the need of supports, you must bring your own necessary equipment. Please, provide details of your medical condition if you believe it is convenient for your practice during the convention. Yoga equipment It is essential to bring your own yoga equipment well marked: a non-slipping mat, 4 blankets, 2 wooden bricks, 2 belts. There wont be spared equipment.

16th Spanish Iyengar Yoga Convention

From the last 16 years the annual convention of our IYENGAR Yoga Association (AEYI) brings all the members together, calls us to the re-union, to celebrate our closeness/approach to yoga and to our Gurus/Masters teaching. As it has been a regular custom, a yoga centre requests to host the next year convention, and in this occasion we bring you to Len, small city on the North, with its inviting street and friendly people, with many attraction to visit, as well as the 16 Spanish Iyengar Yoga Convention during the first weekend of May 2013. The Iyengar Yoga method emerged in Len thanks to our beloved Chus Garcia, around 1995, and co-founder of the Len centre, where nowadays we continue practicing, being blessed everyday with her presence and her teaching. The Convention will take place at the Centro Cvico Ventas Oeste Pavilion, Nazaret street, Len, PC 24008, about 8 minutes by car, towards Asturias exit. Here will be held the teaching and the informal coffee break, as a way of stipend and space for social gathering. During the convention buses will be available to take you from the city center to the main hall. PRICES
The Convention package includes in all cases the following: the teaching, use of the hall, breakfast, lunch/pic-nic, welcoming pack (which includes a beautiful t-shirt), and local buses from the two main departure points in town to the hall. Any cancellation will get the refund of 100% of the total cost of the registration if requested before the 3 March 2013. After that date any cancellation wont be eligible for any kind of refund.
