We sincerely apologize that the product turned out defective, and we regret the inconvenience it caused you. We shall be glad to make a reasonable exchange to your product without any further delay. I am more than happy to announce that our store in Chicago, IL is now accepting defective and damaged Kindle Fire HDs. Once you come to the store, we will exchange the Kindle Fire HD for you and also provide you with a $50 Amazon Gift card for the inconvenience you experienced. We require you to be in person for the exchange so that you can test the Kindle Fire HD to make sure that it works fine.
